Our Story

Committed to Our Community!

The story of the Village Grocery started in 1939 when it opened as a full-service gas station. Over the years, the business has evolved and seen many different stewards of this community hub.

We have been a bakery, a dry cleaning service, and a bottle redemption center. Although these specific services are no longer offered at the Village Grocery today, we are more than happy to keep our valley community supplied with food, drink, fuel, and some of that treasured “local flair”!

We offer so much more than groceries and gas.

We offer breakfast sandwiches, coffee, a full deli, BBQ, creemees, great conversation, booze, mini-golf, sculptures, and most important of all, a space for working folks, retired folks, out-of-town-visitor folks, families, and friends to gather. We firmly believe in the priceless value of community and it is the cornerstone of everything we do.

Hey, meet me at the VG!
